A Team of 20 students, including final-year UG students and first-year PG students from the Department of Occupational Therapy, along with the Faculty, Dr Puja, and the Department’s principal, Dr Deepa Sundareswaran, participated in the rural camp at Kayarambedu village.
17 service users with different neurodivergent conditions with their parents from 13 villages attended the camp.
They were assessed and conditions were explained to the parents and therapy suggested and simple exercises taught to the parents.
After that, each case was discussed with the ViThai team, and the interventions needed.
Close to 50 members, including parents, participated in the event.
